Institute of International Buddhist Studies
The Institute of International Buddhist Studies conducts comprehensive research on various subjects of Buddhism, with the goal of contributing to the dissemination of Korean Buddhism to the world as well as to the development of Buddhist studies. The institute publishes Korean translations of classical Buddhist books, to arrange special lectures and academic seminars, and to pursue academic exchanges with other Buddhist studies institutes around the world.

Institute of Interpretation and Translation

The Institute of Interpretation and Translation has been set up not only to guarantee academic development of interpretation and translation, but also to foster systematic teaching methodologies of the field. In addition, the Institute provides a wide variety of consumer-based interpretation and translation services, contributing to the development of the local community.

Institute of Social Welfare

The Institute of Social Welfare not only conducts academic research on social welfare but also engages in policy analysis to help pave the way for individuals to obtain a correct understanding of their own local communities. The institute seeks to develop various social welfare services, in addition to doing joint studies with related organizations and participating in research projects arranged by the government and the private sector.

Student Counseling Center

The Student Counseling Center, established to conduct research on students¨ lives and to provide counseling services for students, aims at helping students lead productive campus lives and promote their well-being. The center therefore performs professional studies designed to ease students' possible psychological conflicts, offers individual and group counseling and psychological check-ups, and carries out surveys to ensure their development as healthy and responsible individuals. In addition, it keeps collections of various counseling materials beneficial for students, and occasionally arrange special lectures by distinguished professionals in the field.

Geumgang Language Center

The Geumgang Language Center has been established with the objective to facilitate cooperative relationships with foreign universities as well as offering practical foreign language courses for students. The center runs the Korean Language Program that provides foreign students with a chance to learn Korean and gain hands-on experiences of various aspects of the Korean culture. The students in this program are awarded scholarships: The tuition and dormitory fees are waived for the students in the program. In addition, those who do work as communication partners or do other work receive further financial support from the university.
